Open science

Code, software & reproducible research

We use open computational workflows to make ecological models and analyses easier to inspect, reuse, and extend.

NIMBLE for ecological models

The lab has worked with the NIMBLE development team on hierarchical ecological models, especially occupancy models, MCMC efficiency, model assessment, and approaches to latent or unseen ecological states. NIMBLE lets users build statistical models in R while compiling model calculations and algorithms to C++.
